This may be one of the best announcements I’ve seen..
Reba (love of my life) covering Beyonce’s “If I Were A Boy” at her Unplugged session. MTV/VH1/CMT finally did something amazing.
Love it!!
Song of the Day - Single Ladies (Remix)
In a count down to my swiftly approaching birthday (its a big one) I thought this was very telling of my life. Enjoy!
Grammy Re-Cap
The 52nd Annual Grammy’s last night were a great show. Lady Gaga got it all started with a wonderfully theatrical performance of Poker Face as a ballad and a piano duet with Sir Elton John (I had forgotten how great Elton’s voice is). Of course Gaga was full of crazy costumes and I’m going to go ahead and say, from the outfit she worn in her performance, she is not a man (or she has some great tape).

My favorite performance of the night was P!nk. It was similar to her performance at the MTV awards but still great.

And then of course I can’t leave out Beyonce! She is just fierce. I loved the shoes she wore during the performance. She also won 6 awards last night which is apparently the first for a female artist.

Now to the fashion. I thought Rihanna looked amazing, which is very important because it was the Grammy’s last year when the incident with Chris Brown happened. I was really disappointed that she didn’t perform though.

And then my least favorite outfit of the night (and probably my least favorite artist right now) was Katy Perry. I just thought she looked frumpy (see next post).
I was very excited that my home state of Georgia was well represented last night. First Lady Antebellum who’s members Charles Kelly and David Haygood are UGA alumni. Then Zac Brown band (from Cobb County) won best new artist and Jennifer Nettles (from Douglas) performed with Bon Jovi. I’m sure there were plenty of others that I am leaving out. But it really makes the rest of the country realize we have alot of talent here in the great state of Georgia!
In this link you can see the rocking performance by the Zac Brown Band as well as the frumpy Katy Perry dress. Enjoy and happy February!
